…Iz Kruga — Vojvodina participates in the forum Zero Tolerance on Violence against Women


The coor­di­na­tor of the SOS ser­vice of the Orga­ni­za­tionIZ KRUGAVOJVODINA Ivana Zel­ic, will par­tic­i­pate in the forum Zero Tol­er­ance on Vio­lence against Women. The forum will be held on Wednes­day, Sep­tem­ber 23, 2020. year from 19 to 20 hours in front of the book­store Bule­var Books, Bule­var Miha­jla Pupina 6.

The forum is orga­nized by the Autonomous Fes­ti­val of Women with­in the pro­gram unit Small School of Human­i­ty.

AFW was cre­at­ed as a resis­tance to vio­lence, hatred, tra­di­tion­al and ret­ro­grade struc­tures. The rights and posi­tion of women in soci­ety aren’t only women’s issues, but of the entire com­mu­ni­ty and soci­ety as the broad­est sys­tem.

The goal is to raise aware­ness of the top­ic of gen­der iden­ti­ty, issues of vio­lence against women in soci­ety, women’s exis­tence in mod­ern soci­ety, human rights and open the space to a cul­ture of non-vio­lence.

Par­tic­i­pants will talk about what fem­i­nism means to them, why vio­lence against women is an impor­tant issue, what zero tol­er­ance for gen­der vio­lence means to them, what chal­lenges they face in prac­tice and why they are per­son­al­ly moti­vat­ed for the field in which they work.

The fes­ti­val is the result of con­nect­ed activists from Novi Sad, who work in var­i­ous spheres in prac­tice in the fight against vio­lence against women.

Admis­sion to AFW is free.
