Individual psychological support via Skype

Category: News

From September 1, 2017, the Organization … IZ KRUGA – VOJVODINA launches a new individual psychological support service which will take place through a skype consultation.

The service is aimed at women with disabilities who face different life challenges and (or) violence, as well as women without disabilities in situations of violence.

Women with disabilities are subject to multiple discrimination because the traditional system automatically assigns them a lower status, which reflects on all aspects of life: education, work and employment, family life, reproductive rights, health (both physical and emotional). Adequate psychological support makes it easier to overcome various developmental stages or challenging life situations.

Skype consultations do not require any extra time or organization to visit a therapist, which makes this service accessible for women with motor disabilities. The service is free of charge, and one therapy interview session lasts an hour. Depending on the specific goal of the beneficiary herself, continued support leads to improved mental health and to overcome the current life situation.

Psychological support is provided through Skype by a psychologist with experience of counseling and psychotherapy work with women in situations of violence, as well as workshops on partnerships and mental health.

Skype consultations are held every Monday between 11am and 2pm. You can schedule a session every working day from 9am to 4pm by calling 021 447 040.
