[su_spoiler title=”How do you get a discount on your landline phone bill?” style=”fancy”]

Telekom Serbia gives a discount on landline phone bills. The reduced fixed fare is 329 RSD, while for all other services (Internet and TV) there is a 50% discount. You have a right to it if your physical disability is 70-100%.

You should address the nearest Telekom customer service with the following documents:

  • A discount request (written in the form of a common letter);
  • Photocopy of the customer’s ID card (both front and the back of it);
  • Photocopy of the formal decision of the relevant authority proving your right to another person’s care and assistance or any other proof of the degree of the customer’s disability;
  • The customer’s last phone bill (to prove that a customer with disability is actually using the Telekom service).

If the person with a disability is someone from the customer’s family, you should provide a proof of kinship – a marriage certificate (for spouses) or a birth certificate (for other family members).

Telekom will give you a written confirmation that you have submitted a discount request with it and you will get the discount starting from your next bill.  For additional info call: 19813 (8.00−19.00 h).

[su_spoiler title=”What is the way to exercise your right to a Telenor disability package?” style=”fancy”]

Persons with disabilities are entitled to a special-rate Telenor disability package.

Persons with visual impairments need to submit the following documents:

  • A valid ID card;
  • An original or authorized photocopy of the of the formal decision of the relevant authority proving your right to another person’s care and assistance issued by the National Disability and Pension Fund or your local welfare center;
  • A membership certificate of the Serbian or Vojvodina Blind People’s Association;
  • If the client is unable to sign the contract, (s)he must provide a court authorization for the person who will do it instead of her or him. Besides the court authorization document, the authorized person should also bring her or his ID card to the signing of the contract.

Persons with audial impairments:

  • A valid ID card;
  • An original or authorized photocopy of the formal decision of the relevant authority proving their disability issued by the National Disability and Pension Fund.

Persons with other categories of disabilities (who have a valid formal decision of the relevant authority proving their disability category):

  • A valid ID card;
  • An original or authorized photocopy of the formal decision of the relevant authority proving your disability issued by the National Disability and Pension Fund or other relevant authorities;
  • An original or authorized photocopy of the of the formal decision of the relevant authority proving your right to another person’s care and assistance issued by the National Disability and Pension Fund or your local welfare center.

The request should be filed with the nearest Telenor office.

[su_spoiler title=”How can you get a discount on the SBB cable TV service?” style=”fancy”]

All persons with disabilities who exercise their right to another person’s care and assistance or fall into the 100% disability category have the right to a reduced amount of the fixed fare (without the Internet and TV).

They need to provide the following documents for it:

  • An original or authorized photocopy of the formal decision of the relevant authority proving their disability proving or their right to another person’s care and assistance;
  • A photocopy of their contract with SBB;
  • A photocopy of their ID card;
  • A birth certificate.

The request should be filed with the nearest SBB office.

[su_spoiler title=”What are the car registration benefits for persons with disabilities?” style=”fancy”] Persons with disabilities pay no taxes to using cars/motor driven vehicles if their disability category is 80% or more. The can exercise this right for one vehicle, the first one registered to their name that year. If a person’s disability category of 60% or more relates to her or his lower extremities, (s)he does not have an obligation to pay the car/motor driven vehicles usage tax. These two categories of persons with disabilities are also free from paying the eco-tax, are entitled to paying only 5% of the proscribed highway fare and a fixed communal tax rate of 209 RSD.

They need to provide the following documents for it:

  • The formal decision confirming their disability category (over 80%, or 60% or more in case of a lower-extremities-based disability) issued by the relevant welfare center;
  • Photocopy of the traffic license and its original for authentication.

[su_spoiler title=”How can persons with disabilities exercise the right to use the designated public parking space?” style=”fancy”] The right to a disability sticker (that marks the vehicles driven by persons with disabilities) belongs to persons with injured extremities needed to drive the vehicle, persons with muscular distrophy, consequences of paraplegia, quadriplegia or cerebral palsy, wheelchair users, persons with visual impairments of at least 90%, veterans with disabilities, persons with disabilities falling into categories I to IV resulting from injuries to civilians during war and persons on dialysis.

Persons with disabilities have the right to use all designated parking space in the town.

First-time applicants or persons changing a car need the following documentation:

  • The formal decision confirming their disability category (over 80%, or 60% or more in case of a lower-extremities-based disability);
  • A photocopy of the ID card of the person with a disability;
  • A photocopy of the traffic permit for the vehicle registered to the person with a disability;

A photocopy of the driver’s license. If the vehicle is registered to a person without a disability (but used to transport such persons), the following documents are needed:

  • A photocopy of the traffic permit for the vehicle;
  • A photocopy of the ID card of the caretaker or a family member living in the same household;
  • A marriage or birth certificate of the car’s owner;
  • A formal decision of the relevant authority proving their right to another person’s care and assistance;
  • Medical document confirming their diagnosis.

The request is to be filed with the Children’s and Welfare Department of the City of Novi Sad where a formal receipt will be issued as a prerequisite for getting a car sticker.

With this receipt, along with a photo, a photocopy of your ID card and your original traffic permit (for authentication), go to the Parking Service Public Company in order to have your car sticker issued.

To extend the car sticker due by date, go to the Parking Service Public Company and take a photo, a photocopy of your ID card and a photocopy of your traffic permit.

[su_spoiler title=”How to get local public transportation benefits?” style=”fancy”] Persons with disabilities have a right to public transportation benefits, namely a reduced fare if using pre-paid bus stickers.

They need the following documents for it:

  • A formal decision of the relevant authority proving their right to another person’s care and assistance;
  • Medical document confirming their diagnosis (issued by the relevant doctors’ committee);
  • Their ID card (for identification and authentication purposes) and a small photograph (ID card size).

Each local self-government unit adopts a decision regulating public transportation, its fares and benefits, including the right to a reduced fare for pre-paid bus stickers’ users. The Public Transportation Company of the City of Novi Sad issues free-of-charge pre-paid bus stickers based on (beneficiary or membership) lists provided by relevant institutions, organizations and citizens’ associations.

[su_spoiler title=”Who has the right to a reduced electricity bill?” style=”fancy”] Persons in a state of severe social vulnerability have the right to a reduced electricity bill providing that:

  • Their permanent residence is on the territory of the City of Novi Sad;
  • The electricity meter is at the address of their permanent residence;
  • (S)he has been paying her/his electricity bills duly;
  • Their total monthly household income does not exceed the double minimal amount of the proscribed welfare benefit.

The citizen requesting exercise of her/his right to a reduced electricity bill must also enclose the following to her/his letter of request:

  • A photocopy of his/her ID card, as well as of ID cards of all grown-up household members. If there are children in the household, (s)he should enclose photocopies of their birth certificates;
  • A document confirming the amount her/his and every income-making household member’s monthly income during the three months preceding the month during which the request is being filed. In case of unemployment, please provide a documented proof that you are not employed;
  • A proof of being a single-parent;
  • A photocopy of the last month’s electricity bill.

The Children’s and Welfare Department of the City of Novi Sad will consider applications with complete documentation and, if all formal requirements have been met, will send a recommendation providing for the exercise of the right to a reduced electricity bill to Elektrovojvodina, the Electricity-Providing Public Company in Novi Sad . In case the formal requirements have not been met, the relevant City Department informs the request-submitting person about it in writing.

[su_spoiler title=”Who is entitled to a communal products and services discount?” style=”fancy”]

The following persons are entitled to a reduced charge for communal products and services:

  • Retired persons who used to be full-time employees or who have retired from independent industries, receiving a pension amounting to 60% of the basic amount used to calculate the lowest age- or disability-based pension;
  • Retired persons who used to work in agriculture, receiving a pension amounting to 40% of the basic amount used to calculate the lowest age- or disability-based pension;
  • Beneficiaries of a family pension based of the lowest amount of the age- or disability-based pension.

The person submitting a request for exercising her/his right to a reduced charge for communal products and services must enclose the following documents with her/his request:

  • A photocopy of her/his ID card. (Take also your ID card with you for authentication.);
  • Previously paid bills of the Informatika Public Company;
  • A photocopy or the last pension receipt. (Take also its original with you for authentication.).

The Children’s and Welfare Department of the City of Novi Sad will consider applications with complete documentation and, if all formal requirements have been met, will send a list with the names of persons who qualify for a reduced charge for communal products and services to the Informatika Public Company.
